Nkululeko Abdul Mnguni but you can call me X
My name is Nkululeko Mnguni but you can call me “X”. As a young lad I grew up in and around KZN in areas such as Ntuzuma, Pinetown and Umlazi just to name a few. In my moving around I got the privilege to meet different people from different cultures who helped me explore music in different ways.
It is safe to say that my move to Umlazi was a true blessing because that is when I really fell in love with music to the extent that I started co-producing my own sound together with my current producer, G Songz and A.J Apple. Our first produced collaboration was with A.J Apples debut single ‘Phiphli Phaphla’. The kind of music that we produce is of international standards but with a lot of fresh, local and current and trendy vibes and content. We have gone as far as to making it our own and labeling it ‘Trap Duzu’.
This sound is unique as it is influenced by different sounds, genres and cultures. When these sounds are combined we put some trap flavor in it.
Fast forward to 2 years later to 2016 and I have managed to be one of the talents on Boss Entertainments roster and have collaborated with Maskandi Idol Phuze Khemisi on a song titled ‘Imbizo Trap and my first solo single has been released titled ‘I’m A Man’. In the short space of being signed to Boss Entertainment I now have enough content for my first project. My first single embellishes my music career transformation from childhood till this very point. This also epitomizes that type of man that I have become and my aspirations.
